Truth of War
are first project of the year for humanities was the truth of war. in this project we studied books watched movies and learned about the wars of the past to answer the question "What is the Truth of War for a Soldier." for my class nick asked us to write a short historical-fiction story about any war we wanted to choose. i chose to do my story on the Vietnam war, i wrote it on how i saw how soldiers might react when they come home after a terrible fight during the war. my art project was a poster that showed how i saw the truth of war in my story and then i had a fallen soldier memorial representing how the hardest things of war fall on the soldiers. My quote for my project was from the movie black hawk Down. at this part in the movie the main character had just lost his first man in combat, and was having a hard time when a soldier from delta came over and said "Sergeant you can control who gets hit, who falls out of a chopper or why, its not up to you its just war." to me this showed that nobody can control war, no matter how strong you are mentally, or physics. link to truth of war link to OP-ED Religion Seminar As a final project we created an art piece as well as had an open seminar on religious content we have been studying over the last few months. below is the artist statement that was attached to my art piece (to the right), as well as a reflection of the seminar that we presented for parents and the community.
