Guia de Supervivencia
for this project we arranged into partners and where given the freedom to choose a Spanish speaking country to research. My partner and i chose Ecuador because we both were curious to learn more about the country. Once we researched our country we were give a rubric with directions to create a survival guide. this survival guide had different scenarios that we where to write about, like a tourist trying to find a hotel to stay at. When we both finished our assigned scenarios we then picked the est one and made it into a skit. We pick a tourist trying to find a Panama hat, the costumer and store owner talked about price and choices at the store. At the final exhibition we preformed the skit to an audience, me as the store owner and my partner as the tourist. I learned how busy and condensed Ecuador is as a country. The cities are packed with thousands of people, both tourists and citizens. It was very interesting to learn about how different there culture is there. For example when you are driving on the roads there people honk there horn to greet each other not as a warning signal as we do here. I Felt I learned and really improved my Spanish skills during this project. I was able to speak more clearly at the exhibition then I have been in the past. I think this project was really creative as well, it was cool to research a country and then actually speak in Spanish about it. Survival Guide |
