Journalism In Puerto Rico
For this project we studied and wrote a report about a story commercial add in spanish. we were then put into groups and had to make a five minute long video with all our stories in it. My group studied Puerto Rico to write our news movie for.
I connected to this project through biking. I enjoy biking and my segment for the film was an add about mountain biking. I liked the freedom we had for this project we had a lot of free time to work and do our video. The best part of this project where I did well was doing video filming Berr's portion of the film, I had fun doing it and I also thought I did a good job doing it.
This project was challenging because non of us knew how to really video edit or even film a movie. It was also hard to talk in Spanish for the portion of the film that I had had to do. I persevered most when I had to talk for my part of the video, I had a hard time doing it but I pushed through and it worked out pretty well.
I learned that I am not very good at speaking Spanish very well. I had to try to record a lot when I was doing my part and the final part didn't sound as good as I thought it would have. I also learned it is harder to make a video then I originally thought, it took a lot of time to record and a lot of time to edit.
it easier to understand the spanish speaking news reports now. after this project I can keep up with what they are saying a little better then I did before. speaking it definitely helped me out a lot when it came to listening to other speakers.
